Overview

The Rodel Community Scholars program allows education students, as well as students from other disciplines, the opportunity to identify and address key issues affecting education. Working with the Rodel Program Director, students from a variety of disciplines will partner with school administrators to help address specific issues.

Through research and data collection, students will develop a comprehensive, multisystemic plan addressing these issues. Students then will present their plans to educational, community and business leaders.

The Rodel Community Scholars are a highly talented group of ASU college students who hone their skills in the following disciplines to become more effective future leaders:

  • Civic leadership
  • Research methodology and statistics
  • Educational related issues
  • Portfolio development
  • Presentational skills (to school boards, for example)
  • Manuscript submissions and thesis
